When Rupert Saint founded Carrington King in 2010, the aim was to deliver recruiting experiences for candidates that challenged the status quo.
We appreciate the recruitment and search industry has historically fallen short of expectations for job seekers. At times you can be left without clear communication during the job seeking process and viewed merely as a commodity, rather than the career professional you are.
We know it’s you, who will make us look good!
More than a decade on, we can talk to our proven record in building, fostering, and caring for our relationships with candidates and facilitating their career potential.
Whilst we acknowledge we can get extremely busy in our world; you can expect the following when working with Carrington King:
Whether you’re a new applicant or you have a longstanding relationship with us, you can always expect the ‘right’ advice for you. It serves no purpose for us to shortlist you for a job or employer you’re not suited to – frankly, it wastes everyone’s time.
We will be open and honest throughout all recruitment processes.
We are good listeners, and we invest the necessary time to get to know you and your needs. This allows us to see beyond a CV and enhances our capacity to give you good, impartial advice.
This means not only discovering your skillsets, work experience and career goals, but your core values, attitudes and the intangibles that may make you the ideal candidate for a job and/or employer. We want to ensure that your appointment endures for your benefit as well as our client’s.
We understand the typical job seeker experience – you submit an application and cross your fingers that you’ll receive a timely response. Not with Carrington King.
We believe regular communication at each milestone of the process is the least you deserve. Even if you don’t meet the initial criteria, you’ll hear from us. If it looks like you have the required skills and experience our client is looking for, we’ll call you; and if that goes well, plan to meet you in person.
We will never commoditise the process by simply forwarding your resume on to a client and hope they might be interested. Rest assured; our clients very much appreciate the care we take to put only appropriately qualified candidates forward.
For us, respect and professionalism go together, and you will be treated accordingly. This means you’ll be assured of politeness, courtesy, integrity, and absolute confidentiality in your dealings with us.
We advocate and support our talent to enable you to present yourself in the best possible light. We understand that attending job interviews can be intimidating and stressful. Our candidates are encouraged to focus their energy on their presentation skills, and we’ll provide as much insight as possible to ensure you are prepared. We’ll brief you on what to expect in the interview, through to knowing where to park to make sure you arrive safely and on time.
Our support doesn’t end there. We will continue to communicate with you through to the end of the process, whether or not you are successful. Behind the scenes we will be backing you with the employer if, somehow they under-estimated your potential at interview. This can happen, and we’ll advocate strongly if we believe you warrant further consideration.
In the end, it all comes down to care – candidates matter to us a great deal. It’s a difficult thing to attribute in writing, but we do care about the success of our candidates, whether it’s a placement through us or another firm.
We want you to reach your potential and if you are not initially successful in applying for a role through us, we’ll be keen to remain in touch for any future opportunities.
