Rupert is responsible for business strategy and corporate governance and plays an active role in developing new business relationships and managing key clients. He also leads a team of industry specialists who deliver retained executive search and selection services into key markets.

Before founding Carrington King, Rupert held senior positions in various recruitment firms, including as a founding Director at Carmichael Fisher. He brings extensive recruitment expertise across a variety of industry sectors including Technology, Professional Services, Data & Analytics, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Energy.

Rupert's work experience also includes time as a Finance Manager and Management Accountant for Procter & Gamble (NZ), and roles in Retail, Hospitality, Tourism and Manufacturing. This has exposed him to a broad palette of business models and organisational structures, ranging from global FMCG multinationals to PE backed start-ups, listed companies to family-run enterprises.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Analytics Professional, Australia.

An experienced traveller and a keen fiction and non-fiction reader, Rupert also has an active interest in sport and art. These days, much of his leisure time revolves around three lively teens!
